The 2026 Honda 125, All Three Variants

The Honda 125, sold in Pakistan as the Atlas Honda CG 125, remains the country's benchmark commuter motorcycle. The 2026 model brings updated stickers and graphics rather than any mechanical change, and Atlas Honda now sells it in three distinct variants at three different prices.

If you have seen conflicting numbers online, it is usually because people are looking at different variants without realising it. Here is the complete, current picture.

What Actually Differs Between the Three

The engine is identical across all three variants: a 125cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke OHV unit that has powered this bike for decades. The differences are entirely about starting mechanism, gearbox and finish.

CG 125 Kick Start, PKR 238,500

The base model. Kick start only, 4-speed constant mesh transmission. This is the variant most often bought purely as a working commuter, and it remains the cheapest way into a genuine Honda 125.

CG 125S Self Start, PKR 286,900

Adds electric self-start and moves to a 5-speed transmission, a real usability upgrade for daily riding, particularly in traffic. The price gap over the kick-start version is substantial, PKR 48,400, which is worth weighing against how much you actually value not kicking the bike over every morning.

CG 125S Gold Edition, PKR 296,900

The self-start mechanism and 5-speed gearbox of the S variant, finished in a red and gold or black and gold colour scheme with additional chrome trim. Atlas Honda markets this as the premium option in the range, under the tagline "Power, Legacy, and a Touch of Gold." Mechanically it is identical to the Self Start version. The extra PKR 10,000 buys styling and badge, not performance.

Which One Should You Actually Buy?

If budget is the only constraint, the Kick Start variant does everything the others do mechanically, for PKR 48,400 less than the Self Start and PKR 58,400 less than the Gold Edition. Resale value across all three tends to track closely with the Honda name rather than the trim, so the cheapest variant is not a compromise on long-term value.

If you ride in heavy traffic or simply prefer not kicking a bike to life every morning, the Self Start variant earns its premium. The Gold Edition is a styling choice for buyers who specifically want the look, and there is nothing wrong with buying it for that reason. Just go in knowing exactly what the extra money is for.

The Price on the Sticker Is Not the Final Price

Every Honda 125 needs registration, token tax, a number plate and basic insurance before it can legally be ridden. These add roughly seven to eight percent on top of the ex-factory price, and the extra amount is not always mentioned until you are at the dealer counter.

CG 125S Self Start286,900308,679

Estimates include registration fee, token tax, professional tax, number plate fee and basic insurance at approximate Punjab rates. Other provinces vary. Figures are for budgeting only.

On the base Kick Start model, registration and related charges add roughly PKR 18,488 to the price you saw advertised. Work out the figure for your own city with the free on-road price calculator before visiting a dealer.

Buying the Honda 125 on Installments

Most buyers do not pay the full price upfront. Bank and dealer financing for a Honda 125 typically asks for 15 to 25 percent down, with the remainder spread over 12, 24 or 36 months.

Here is a realistic example at 20 percent down and typical bike financing markup rates, to show how the monthly figure changes with the term:

CG 125S Gold Edition59,38023,356 /mo13,657 /mo10,556 /mo

Illustrative figures at 20 percent down and typical annual markup rates for motorcycle financing in Pakistan. Actual rates, required down payment and eligibility vary by bank and by dealer, and Islamic financing structures such as Ijarah are calculated differently. Always get a written quote before committing.

The longer the term, the lower the monthly payment but the higher the total amount paid overall, since markup accrues for longer. A 36 month plan on the base model costs roughly PKR 80,000 more in total than a 12 month plan, in exchange for a monthly payment less than half the size.

Work out your own numbers precisely, including your specific down payment and the bank's actual rate, on the free EMI calculator, which also covers Shariah-compliant Ijarah and Murabaha structures if that matters to you.

Why the Honda 125 Still Sells in These Numbers

The CG 125 has been sold in Pakistan for decades with only cosmetic changes, and it remains the country's most trusted commuter motorcycle for one straightforward reason: it holds its resale value better than almost anything else on Pakistani roads, spare parts are available in every town, and any mechanic in the country can service one blindfolded.

None of the 2026 changes affect any of that. You are buying the same proven mechanical package with new stickers, which for a lot of Pakistani buyers is exactly the point.

Buying Used Instead?

Older CG 125 model years sell for considerably less on the used market and hold up just as reliably, since the mechanicals have barely changed across recent years. If you are considering a used example, run the free 30 point inspection checklist before paying anything, and check current asking prices on Byke Lelo's used bikes listings.
