Maryam Ki Dastak is Punjab's official one-window platform for government services, and for motorcycle owners specifically, it covers exactly the paperwork that used to mean a half day lost at a Khidmat Markaz or Excise office. Driving license, license renewal, duplicate license, and vehicle registration and transfer through the Excise and Taxation department are all available either fully online or with a trained facilitator collecting your documents from your home.

What Bike Owners Can Actually Do Through Dastak
The platform is organised by department, and two of those departments cover almost everything a motorcycle owner needs. DLIMS, the Driving License Issuance and Management System, handles new licenses, renewals and duplicates, and has been fully migrated onto the Dastak web platform, so you no longer deal with DLIMS separately. Excise and Taxation covers vehicle registration, token tax payment, and transfer of ownership when you buy or sell a used bike.

How to Apply, Step by Step
- Download the Dastak Citizen App from Google Play or the Apple App Store, or use the web portal at dastak.punjab.gov.pk directly from your phone or computer.
- Register as an applicant using your CNIC.
- Select your service under DLIMS for license matters, or Excise and Taxation for registration, token tax or ownership transfer.
- Choose self-service or doorstep delivery. Self-service lets you complete more of the process online yourself. Doorstep delivery sends a trained facilitator to your home to collect documents and biometrics.
- Track your application in real time through the app, or call the helpline on 1202 if you need help at any stage.
The platform also includes a built-in e-License tool for generating, tracking and verifying a license using your CNIC, useful if you need to check the status of an existing application quickly.
How the Program Actually Grew
Maryam Ki Dastak did not launch province-wide. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif's office confirmed the program started with 10 services piloted in Lahore, then in a June 2024 review meeting the Chief Minister directed the number to be raised to 40 for Lahore and then 65 across every division by that August, bringing in Police, Revenue, Municipal, Excise, TMA and Development Authority services together. The platform you see today, covering DLIMS, LDA, Excise and Taxation, Local Government and the Board of Revenue as separate categories, is the result of that expansion, now running in more than 40 districts.
Want to Earn as a Facilitator? Owning a Bike Helps
If you already own a motorcycle, there is a second use for this program worth knowing. Punjab has separately opened registration for paid Dastak facilitators, the people who physically visit applicants to collect documents and process services. According to the Chief Minister's own announcement on eligibility, a facilitator needs an original CNIC, to be at least 18 years old, hold at minimum an intermediate-level education, have a mobile phone with internet access, a clearance certificate from their local police station, and critically, their own motorcycle and a valid driving license. This is run through a separate Dastak Facilitator App, distinct from the citizen-facing app, and is described as an opportunity to earn a genuine income while working locally.

Vehicle ownership transfer runs through the Excise and Taxation service category on Dastak. Complete it promptly after any sale, an unregistered transfer leaves the seller legally attached to the bike.
