Honda Changed the Colour of the CG125 Again. Here Is What Actually Changed and What Did Not.

Atlas Honda has launched the 2027 CG125 lineup in Pakistan under the theme "The Sound of Power". If you are hoping this is the year the CG125 finally gets a real update, the honest answer is no. This is a stickers and colour refresh, the same thing Atlas Honda has done to this bike almost every year since 2020. The engine, frame and mechanicals are untouched. What is genuinely new is a silver colour option and revised graphics, and the price has not moved.

Standard CG125 price confirmed at launch. CG125S and CG125S Gold pricing follows Atlas Honda's usual step up, check with your local dealer for the exact current figure.

The 2026 lineup came in red, black and blue. For 2027, blue is gone and silver takes its place, sitting alongside the familiar red and black. Atlas Honda has also refreshed the fuel tank graphics and stickers across all three colours, so even the red and black bikes look slightly different from last year's model despite being mechanically identical.

Standard, Self Start or Gold: What Actually Separates Them

The three variants are still built on exactly the same engine and frame, the difference has always been in convenience and finish, not performance.

The standard CG125 is kick start only, the cheapest way into this bike. The CG125S adds electric self start, which most riders find worth the extra cost the first time they are trying to start the bike in traffic or rain. The CG125S Gold adds a gold coloured treatment on the side covers, silencer cover and front emblem, along with a gold coloured speedometer face. None of the three ride any differently from the others.

This has happened almost every year since 2020

New stickers on the CG125 is not a one off. Atlas Honda has refreshed the graphics and colour options on this bike close to annually for several years running, sometimes with a claimed engine update bundled in, usually without one. If you are holding out for a genuinely different CG125, model year alone has not delivered that recently. The core reason people still buy it stays the same every year too: parts availability, fuel economy and resale value that a new sticker does not change.

Should You Buy the 2027 or Look at the Outgoing Model

Since the price has not moved and nothing mechanical changed, this decision comes down entirely to whether you want the silver colour or the updated graphics. If a dealer has 2026 stock in red or black at a discount to move it, that bike is mechanically identical to the 2027 model and there is no functional reason to pay more for the newer stickers. If silver specifically is what you want, or you simply prefer buying the current model year for resale purposes later, the 2027 is the one to get.

Resale value on the CG125 has historically held up regardless of which sticker year a buyer picks, since the bike's reputation rests on the engine and parts network, not the graphics. That is unlikely to change with this update either.
